®
the sliding switch (2) must be set to MAG. PHONO or AUX. For cas-
setteV/audio tape operation use the AUX input, cinch jack PB (14).
Operation
1) At first set the controls (1+ 4) to “0” position.
2) Connect the mains plug to the mains supply (230 V~/50 Hz). After
switching on the operating LED ON (8) is lighting.
3) Set the input controls (1) as well as the tone controls (3) to the desired
values.
Adjust the overall volume with the MASTER control (4). The VU meter
(5) displays the output level.
Microphone Priority Circuit
With the microphone channel 1 an actual music programme (in the AUX/
PHONO channel 4) can be talked over for announcements etc. while the
music is automatically attenuated down to 20 dB. There is a soft fading in
and out.
With counterclockwise position of the FADER control (16) at the rear this
function does not work. With turning this control clockwise to the end stop
the max. music attenuation is adjusted.
Battery Operation
The 24 V battery connections (11) are at the amplifier rear. If the 24 V volt-
age is connected, the amplifier is in operation immediately. The LED ON
(8) is lighting. The power switch (7) is out of function.
If 230 V alternating voltage and 24 V direct voltage are connected at the
same time, then the amplifier operates with mains. In case of mains failure
it automatically switches over to battery operation.
Circuit breaker
In case of short-circuit or overload a circuit breaker (9) automatically opens
the circuit, the LED PROTECT (6) is lighting. After removal of the error this
switch (9) can be closed again.

GB Operating Instructions
PA Amplifier PA-802
A very efficient mono PA amplifier in professional quality for 230 V~/50 Hz and
24 V DC operation. Due to the silicon technique the complete amplifier is
insensitive to temperature changes. Extensive protection circuits are installed.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the follow-
ing code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not
correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your
plug, proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow must be connected to
the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol
, or coloured green or green and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.
