2 Safety Notes
The units (receiver and power supply unit) corre-
spond to all relevant directives of the EU and are
therefore marked with
WARNING
The power supply unit uses dan-
gerous mains voltage Leave ser-
vicing to skilled personnel Inex-
pert handling may result in electric
shock
•
The units are suitable for indoor use only Pro-
tect them against dripping water, splash water
and high air humidity The admissible ambient
temperature range is 0 – 40 °C
•
Immediately disconnect the power supply unit
from the mains socket if
1 the receiver or the power supply unit is visibly
damaged,
2 a defect might have occurred after the unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3 malfunctions occur
In any case the units must be repaired by skilled
personnel
•
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never
use water or chemicals
•
No guarantee claims for the units and no
liability for any resulting personal damage or
material damage will be accepted if the units
are used for other purposes than originally
intended, if they are not correctly connected
or operated, or if they are not repaired in an
expert way
If the units are to be put out of oper-
ation definitively, take them to a local
recycling plant for a disposal which is
not harmful to the environment
3 Applications
Combined with a transmitter RU-850… / 5 from
JTS (wireless hand-held microphone or pocket
transmitter with a microphone connected:
☞
chapter 3 1), this receiver creates a wireless
system for audio transmission which is ideally
suited for vocal sound and speech applications
(e g for performances on stage or presenta-
tions) The receiver uses “Diversity” technology:
The signal sent from the transmitter is received
by two antennas placed at a distance from each
other and checked for its quality The signal of
the highest quality is then used The transmission
range depends on local conditions; in open-field
conditions, the minimum range is 100 m
The transmission system operates in the UHF
range 506 – 542 MHz It is possible to set the
radio frequency directly (in frequency steps of
25 kHz) or to select it from a group of frequencies;
6 groups with different numbers of predefined
channels (frequencies) are available By means of
the REMOSET ULTRASONIC function (
),
the transmitter and the receiver can be synchro-
nized in a most convenient manner: The settings
for the transmitter are made on the receiver and
are then transferred to the transmitter via an
ultrasonic signal
