Updating ﬁ rmware

What is a fi rmware?

Every general PC has an Operating System (Ex, Windows2000, Windows XP, Linux

etc.) to operate the PC. All MP3 players also have a program to operate the device.

This program is called the fi rmware.

What is a fi rmware update?

This is the update of the program to operate the MP3 to the latest version. Updates

generally include bug fi xes or functional improvements not found initially.

Installing the fi rmware update program

Double click on the setup.exe fi le in the Firmware folder inside the installation

CD to install the related program. The program is installed in C:\Program Files\

Consumer Update Firmware by default. You can refer to the installation CD includ-

ed with the product or the homepage for the related program.
