Virtual
Server
List
"Virtual
Server"
feature
allows
you
to
define
some
servers
with
the
global
IP
address
or
FQDN
of
the
gateway
as
if
they
are
servers
existed
in
the
Internet.
But
in
fact,
these
servers
are
located
in
the
Intranet
and
are
physically
behind
the
gateway.
The
gateway
serves
the
service
requests
by
port
forwarding
the
requests
to
the
LAN
servers
and
transfers
the
replies
from
LAN
servers
to
the
requester
on
the
WAN
side.
For
example,
if
you
set
an
E
‐
server
on
the
LAN
side
with
IP
address
10.0.75.101,
a
remote
user
can
access
the
gateway
for
E
‐
service
if
you
defined
a
virtual
E
‐
server
for
the
gateway
by
using
the
real
E
‐
server
on
the
LAN
side,
as
shown
in
scenario
in
following
diagram
.
Scenario
Application
Timing
Set
up
some
application
servers
in
the
Intranet
of
deployed
network
for
services
and
are
protected
by
the
gateway
firewall.
In
a
way
that
the
gateway
appears
to
be
the
physical
server
to
the
remote
users,
while
the
real
server
is,
in
reality,
operating
and
providing
service
at
the
LAN
side
behind
the
gateway.
