The HPR2 also has the ability to provide power to the SPI1, if the optional power banana jack is connected. This
eliminates the need for the attachment of a charging adapter during extended survey operations. The blue connection
should be attached to source being interrupted. For example, if the negative leg of the rectified DC output on a rectifier
is being interrupted, the supplied blue clip lead would be attached to the ‘+‘ output of the rectifier, the black relay
contact cable would be attached to the ‘-’ output of the rectifier, and the red relay contact would be attached to the
load. Under this situation, if the rectifier output is higher than approximately 10V, the SPI1 will be powered from the
HPR2.
