IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before using your appliance, read carefully the instructions
contained in this booklet, which furnish important information
regarding installation, use and maintenance safety. The book-
let must be keeped and delivered to the new user in case of
cession of the machine.
The Manufacturer reserves the right
to vary the features of the product without prior notice. The
technical data are merely indicative.
1. This appliance is intended exclusively for the use for which
it was created, that is to dry hair by means of a warm air
flow. The Producer would not be considered responsible
for any damage caused by its improper use.
2. After unpacking make sure that the appliance is com-plete
and shows no sign of visible damage or tampe-ring. In
case of doubt do not use the appliance and apply to an
authorised Technical Assistance centre or to your trades-
man.
3. Keep children away from the packaging (plastic bags, poly-
styrene, nails, etc...) because it could represent a poten-
tial source of danger.
4. Do not use the appliance in presence of gas, inflam-mable
or explosive liquids or substances.
5. Some fundamental rules which apply to all electrical de-
vices must be observed when using the appliance:
• do not touch the heather with wet hands;
• do not handle with bare feet;
• do not pull the electric cord or the device itself to
unplug it from the socket; pull the plug directly;
• do not let children or incompetent people use device
without supervision.
6. The appliance is not suited for persons (as well as chil-
dren) physically, mentally, sensory disabled, or with no
experience, unless they have been supervised or directed
by someone responsible of their safety.
7. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
8. Avoid improper use of extension cords.
9. Do not bring modifications to the product that com-prom-
ise the safety.
10. Keep connections dry.
11. If the power supply cord is damaged avoid to use it. Let
the Manufacturer, or the After Sale Service, or so-me simi-
lar qualified person replace it, in order to avoid any risk.
12. Always unplug the appliance before doing any mainte-
nance operation.
13. The COBRAVO hairdryers are pratical devices, exclusi-vely
studied to be set up on the wall vertically, with the air
outlet facing down.
14. Before doing any cleaning or maintenance, make sure that
the appliance is disconnected from the power supply.
15. Do not wash the appliance with running water.
16. In case of damage or malfunction, switch off the ap-pli-
ance, take out the plug and call the assistance cen-tre.
All repairs must be executed only by an authorised as-
sistance centre.
17. Always request the use of original spare parts only.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Installation must be carried out by a technical, qualified staff,
following the instructions supplied by the manufacturer, with
reference to the national regulations for the electrical instal-
lations.
This hairdryer must be installed out of the range of
a person using the bath or the shower.
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply
when not used.
Before installing the appliance make sure that the rated volt-
age is the same as indicated on the appliance’s label and that
the electrical wiring is in accordance with the current regula-
tions. A good rule would be to test the appliance before in-
stalling.To fix with plastic expansion dowels:
1. Make sure that the plug is disconnected from the power
supply.
2. With the point of a small screwdriver take off the oval
front cover from the body.
3. Drill holes in the wall with a 5 mm diameter point in corre-
spondence with the two panel’s holes and fix with plastic
expansion dowels and screws supplied with the packag-
ing (fig.1).
4. Replace the oval front cover pushing it into its hole.
5. Put the plug in a wall socket.
The COBRAVO hairdryers can also be installed with a connec-
tion to a distributing box (without using the supply cable). In
order to ensure an effective separation from the power sup-
ply, the appliance must be connected to a omnipolar safety
switch with a minimum distance between the contacts of at
least 3 mm. In this case (fig.2):
1. Make sure that the plug is disconnected from the power
supply.
2. With the point of a small screwdriver take off the oval
front cover from the body.
3. Unscrew the three screws that lock the front cover.
4. Take the supply cable away from the appliance by re-leas-
ing it from the cable lock and unscrewing the wires from
the junction box.
5. Pass the wires coming from the distribution box through
the hole on the back of the body and connect the above
mentioned wires to the free binding screws of the junc-
tion box.
6. Set the front cover in its place
7. Set the oval front cover in place pushing it into its hole.
USE INSTRUCTIONS
The appliance will switch on automatically by picking up the
handle and bringing it near the hair.
When finished, hang the handle on the proper hook and CO-
BRAVO will switch off automatically.
