The IP device interface to the telephone system is an Ethernet IEEE 802.3 100 Mbps unshielded 

twisted pair (UTP) interface (RJ-45). The hard IP and multi-protocol phones use flash memory and 

their software can be updated over the Local Area Network (LAN).
