Fitting the additional fan in Aastra 470
Notes for proper fitting of the backplane BP2U
If the upper rear housing cover is open (e.g. to install an additional fan)
the backplane may jump out of the bottom guide slots (especially, if
there are no cards fitted yet).
Result:
After assembly, this can lead to cards which cannot be fitted / not making
connection properly / cannot be detected etc.
Remedy:
– Check the proper fitting of the backplane in the 4 bottom guide slots.
Tip: May be you have to push the backplane slightly backwards, since
the contact springs behind the fastening brackets create a certain
counter-pressure (see
➀
in
).
– Check that the backplane does not protrude the top of the housing
(see
➁
– By closing the upper rear housing cover, check the proper fitting of the
backplane in the 4 top guide slots. You should be able to close the
cover without effort and the cover should not bend (see
➂
).
