Removing a Cooling Fan

The cooling fan can continue to spin for some time after the appliance has been
powered down. Allow time for the fan to stop spinning before removing it from the
appliance.

Do not attempt to operate the appliance without the cooling fan.

Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only
perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product
documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team.
Damage due to servicing that is not authorized is not covered by your warranty.
Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.

The procedure for removing each individual fan module is the same.
To remove a cooling fan:
1.
Power off the appliance, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the
appliance from its electrical outlet.

Open the appliance. See

Remove the cooling shroud. See

Disconnect the fan’s power cable from the system-board (

Remove the faulty fan by grasping the fan and sliding the fan from the fan
assembly (
