When the indentations of the Toner Bottle move past the protrusion in the Toner Bottle
Holder, the Toner Bottle is vibrated to prevent some of the toner from remaining uncon-
sumed in the bottle.

The ATDC Sensor detects a toner-empty condition.

÷

The ATDC Sensor takes T/C readings and, when the number of readings that are lower
than the reference T/C exceeds a predetermined level, the copier determines that toner
is empty.
