Ü

Click with the right-hand mouse button on the [MY COMPUTER] 
icon on the desktop, and then click [PROPERTIES] in the shortcut 
menu that appears.

Proceed with “Installing the printer driver using the Installer” on page 
3-23.

Installing the USB Device Driver for Windows 2000

Switch on your computer and start Windows 2000.

Switch on the printer. Do not yet connect the USB cable.

Check that Windows 2000 has finished loading and that the printer is 
ready.

4

Insert the Software and Documentation CD-ROM supplied with your 
printer into your computer’s CD-ROM drive.

5

When the installation screen appears, close it.

6

Connect the printer to the computer with the USB cable
(see page 2-16) to display the Found New Hardware Wizard dialogue.

7

Click [NEXT] to display the next dialogue.
