Check the test leads against cracks or defects in the insulation. In
the case of any abnormal condition is detected, do not take any
type of measurement
1. Connect the test leads with colored alligator clips in the termi
-
nals of the three phase power supply where the rotary electrical
machine, as a motor, will be connected. The sequence of test
leads connection is optional.
2. Press the “push button” key localized in the superior part of
the instrument. Keep it pressed during the phase sequence
verification. When the key is released, the instrument is im
-
mediately switched off.
3. Make sure to check all the lamps are lit open phase, when the
three-phase power supply is fed. In this case we have no open
phase. If we have any of the LED off, we’ll have open phase.
•
If the lamp “R” phase does not light: the terminal where the red
alligator claw is connected is with the phase open.
•
If the lamp “S” phase does not light: the terminal where the yellow
alligator claw is connected is with the phase open.
•
If the lamp “T” phase does not light: the terminal where the blue
alligator claw is connected is with the phase open.
4. When the phase verification lamp not light, the disk will not rotate.
5. Verify the internal disk rotation through the phase sequence
indication window.
6. When the disk rotates to the counterclockwise direction , change
the connection of two alligator clips.
When the disk rotates to the clockwise direction, the sequence
phase is R, S and T respectively for phases connected on test
leads red, yellow and blue.
