LED illumination
Press and hold the power button down for 3 seconds to start the LED illumination. There are 3 modes of LED lights
which appear in sequence: Normal, Strobe, SOS. Press again, and the LED light will switch off.
Charging mobile phones or tablets
1. MiniMax is suitable for all USB charging cables.
2. Plug in the USB end of the cable you will be using into the MiniMax and plug the other end into your device.
3. MiniMax will begin charging your device automatically. The indicator lights will be on when charging.
Charging MiniMax
1. Plug the wall adaptor into the wall.
2. Connect MiniMax to the wall adaptor.
OR
1. Plug the car adaptor into the socket of cigarette lighter.
2. Connect the car adaptor into the MiniMax.
Ensure that the number of indicator light is no less than 3.
12V VEHICLE JUMP START:
How to Jump Start your Vehicle
DO NOT
jump start if less than 3 blue indicators are showing. Make sure all electrics of the car are turned off e.g.
radio, air conditioning, lights etc.
For larger engines (above 2L), full charge may be necessary to jump start the car
1. Connect the jumper cable to the drained vehicle battery. First connect the RED positive clamp to the positive post
of the vehicle, then connect the BLACK negative clamp to the negative post of the vehicle battery.
2. Plug the cord of the jumper cable into the jump starter socket by firmly pushing the jumper cable connector into the
socket to insure a tight fit.
3. Wait for the smart jumper cable to stop flashing and to give a constant green light.
4. If error occurs (red error light accompanied by beeping); disconnect both the connector to the MiniMax and cable
clamps to the vehicle, make all the connections again and try again.
5. If the problem persists, the smart cable has detected one of the following hazardous situations;
- short circuit (could be a problem with the car, wiring or battery)
- reverse polarity (cables connected to the battery incorrectly)
- battery full (battery is not flat, there is another problem with the car)
- MiniMax flat (not enough charge left in the MiniMax to attempt jump start)
6. Now attempt to start the vehicle. (once the green light is on, the jump start attempt must be made within 30
seconds. After 30 seconds, the smart cable will go back into stand-by mode to protect the minimax unit. If jump
start attempt could not be made within 30 seconds, go back to step 1 and repeat the process again)
7. Disconnect the jumper cables from the battery within 30 seconds once the engine has started. If left connected for
extended periods of time, this may cause damage to the jumper cable and / or the minimax unit.
8. Disconnect the Black clamp from the vehicle battery terminals first, then disconnect the Red clamp.
• Once all connections have been made and the smart cable indicates constant green light, jump start the vehicle as
soon as possible. If left connected for extended periods of time, this may cause damage to the jumper cables and/or
the minimax unit.
• DO NOT crank the engine for more than 3 seconds at a time.
• DO NOT attempt to jump start the vehicle more than three times to prevent damage to the vehicle. If the
vehicle does not start after 3 attempts it may be due to other problems with the vehicle.
• The smart cable has protection against over-heating. If after a jump start attempt the smart cable goes into
error mode, do not attempt further jump operations and allow the MiniMax to cool for at least 1 hour before
trying to jump start again.

Q. How do I turn MiniMax off?
A. MiniMax will turn off automatically when there is no load or when the charging is complete.
Q. How many times can MiniMax be used to jump start the automobile with a full charge?
A. MiniMax can jump start an automobile approximately 10 times before needing to be recharged.
Q. How many times can MiniMax be used as a power bank for my mobile phone before needing to be
recharged?
A. The iPhone 5S, for example can be fully charged about four times before the device needs to be recharged. Other
models of mobile phones have similar results.
Q. How long will it take to fully charge my mobile phone using MiniMax as a power bank?
A. It takes approximately 90 minutes to fully charge the iPhone 5S, for example. Other models of mobile phones have
similar results.
Q. How many months will MiniMax hold a charge without recharging?
A. The device can hold a charge capable of starting an automobile for up to one year (provided the MiniMax was fully
charged). However we strongly suggest recharging MiniMax every three months to ensure it is fully charged and
ready to use when the need arises. If the MiniMax has been used until low battery capacity, re-charge it as soon
as possible. One of the safety features of the MiniMax prevents recharging if it is left stored for a prolonged period
in low battery capacity. To avoid this, ensure to recharge the MiniMax as soon as it has been used to avoid a low
battery state.

8. Never use MiniMax in, on, or near explosive solid, gas or liquid chemicals.
9. Never attempt to disassemble or modify MiniMax, nor any of its components.

11. Never store MiniMax or its components in a place in which the temperature exceeds 45° Celsius.
12. Only use the accessories provided by the manufacturer with MiniMax. No other accessories should be used.
13. Only charge MiniMax at ambient temperatures between 0° Celsius - 45° Celsius.

14. Under very extreme circumstances, battery leakage may occur. Cautiously wipe off the liquid on the battery using
a dry cloth. Be very careful to avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Should the liquid make contact with the skin
and/or eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical assistance.
15. When MiniMax has come to the end of its life, please dispose of carefully.
16. In order for this MiniMax device to jump start your vehicle properly, insert the blue plug into MiniMax tightly and
securely. Failure to do so will result in jump start failure and could potentially melt the cables.
17. Before attempting to jump start, ensure the battery terminals are clean to ensure electrical conductivity, and be
certain that the cable clamps are properly connected to the battery terminals.
18. Do not attempt to jump start a vehicle more than 3 times. If your vehicle does not start after 3 attempts it may be
due to other problems with the vehicle. A professional mechanic should be consulted to look for other problems
with the vehicle.
19. Never connect the red or positive clamp to the black or negative clamp or the same piece of metal as this could
result in a serious accident and /or injury.
20. Disconnect MiniMax from the vechicle within 30 seconds after jump starting successfully. Failure to do so could
result in a serious accident and/or injury.
21. Always remember that despite MiniMax’s small size, it is a powerful electrical device which should always be
handled carefully by adults who have read the manual and understand the warnings.
22. It is recommended to charge the Minimax every 3 months to prolong its service life.
23. Do not throw or apply physical shock to the product.
24. Only charge the Minimax with the supplied charger.
25. Make sure all electrics of the car are turned off e.g. radio, air conditioning, lights etc.
26. If the MiniMax has been used until low battery capacity, re-charge it as soon as possible. One of the safety
features of the MiniMax prevents recharging if it is left stored for a prolonged period in low battery capacity (few
weeks). This is an intended safety feature of the MiniMax and the warranty does not cover this condition.
27. Also due to this protection, the MiniMax may go into a “dormant” mode for a few minutes after jump starting, as
the voltage can drop temporarily. In this case, wait for a few minutes for the MiniMax to recover to use again.

29. There is no need to completely discharge the battery to recharge again (there is no “memory effect” like other
types of batteries)
INDICATOR LIGHTS
When MiniMax is charging, the indicator lights will flash one by one. The number of solid indicator lights indicates the
battery capacity. All indicator lights are solid when charging is paused or completed.
