Shift point indicator
Concept
Shift point indicator in the Head-up Display
indicates the optimum shifting point. Thus,
with a sporty driving style, the best possible
vehicle acceleration is achieved.
Functional requirements
– Steptronic Sport transmission:
Manual mode M/S and, if necessary, Dy-
namic Traction Control DTC are acti-
vated.
– Press the accelerator pedal all the way
down.
Display
Successive gray illuminated fields indicate
the upcoming shift moment.
Shift up immediately when the red fields
light up.
When the maximum possible speed is
reached, the entire display flashes. The fuel
supply is reduced to protect the engine.
Vehicle status
General information
The status can be displayed and actions per-
formed for several systems.

Via the Central Information Display (CID):
