This document and its contents are the property of Mini-Circuits
Frequency (MHz)
– Frequency of the Carrier, in MHz for the RF pulses generated.
Power Level (dBm)
– Power level, in dBm of the active pulses.
Pulse Rate
– Frequency of the pulse sequence, in the specified unit. (See section
for limits on pulse
rate values).
Duty Cycle
– Shows the set ratio between pulse width and pulse period, fixed at 50% in square pulse
source.
Frequency Units
– Specifies the frequency units for pulse rate as Hz or kHz.
Pulse Width
– Shows the calculated duration of the active portion of each cycle based on the values
entered.
Pulse Period
– Shows the calculated time between the start of two consecutive pulses based on the values
entered.

External Modulation Pulse Source :
Not available in all models, see table below for supported units. When Ext. Pulse Mod. Pulse Source is
selected the Trigger In port will act as a Modulation In port, and the generator will produce a pulse
modulated signal modulated according to the external pulse pattern input at the Trigger In port. As long as
'1' is present at the Trigger In Port the generator will produce the specified RF signal, when Trigger In port is
at '0' no RF signal will be produced. As the pulse characteristics will be according to the external signal the
buttons in the central portion of the screen and the plot at the top of the screen will be blank (
