STEP 8: NOTE: Never climb a stand which does not have the stabilizer straps properly installed
as instructed herein and pulled
tight. With the stabilizer straps installed and secured as outlined
herein, with the assistance of two (2) other adults as shown in Figure 35 to steady the treestand,
you may climb the treestand to install the seat assembly ratchet strap. Maintain three (3) points of
contact when climbing. Never lean backwards while climbing as this could cause the treestand to
separate from the tree. Make certain to remain in the center of the treestand until the platform/tree
blade ratchet strap has been installed.
STEP 11: After reaching the top of the ladder immediately attach yourself to the tree with
your full-body fall arrest tether to the tree trunk as shown in Figure 36. Now you can place
the ratchet strap around the tree hooking one end to the left side of the tree blade and the
other end to the right side of the tree blade and ratchet tight as shown in Figure 37. Ratchet
threading instructions may be found in Figure 38. NOTE: Do not put any of your weight on the
seat until the seat assembly ratchet strap has been secured.
WARNING! When climbing, always maintain three points of contact as you ascend (climb
up) and while descending (climb down). Failure to maintain three points of contact puts
the user at serious risk of bodily injury. Failure to follow these instructions will result in
serious injury or death!
