System scaling
To be able to scale to thousands of cameras across multiple sites, the system consists of components that
handle specific tasks. If you have installed all components on a standalone Milestone Husky IVO unit, you can
expand your system by installing the components on separate dedicated servers in a distributed system to scale
and distribute the load.
Not all components are needed in all installations. You can always add additional recording servers, failover
recording servers, or XProtect Mobile servers for hosting and providing access to XProtect Mobile client and
XProtect Web Client.
