Securing the tumble dryer against
slippage

In the following cases, the feet of
the tumble dryer must be secured
with clamps* (available as an
optional accessory).
– If it is being installed on an
existing plinth.
Instead of using clamps, all-round
plinth edging in the area of the feet
of the dryer may be sufficient.
– When a venting system with
plastic piping is used.
Room ventilation

As the air required for drying is
drawn from the room in which the
dryer is installed, the room must be
sufficiently ventilated, e.g. by vents
in the outside wall which are
permanently open.

The tumble dryer draws air in
from the back. For this reason, an
appropriate gap must be maintained
between the back of the dryer and
the wall (see "Installation positions").
Do not block the gap between the
bottom of the tumble dryer and the
floor with plinth facings, deep pile
carpet etc. This would hinder a
sufficient flow of air to the dryer.
