Hose for external drainage of
condensed water
The condensed water is pumped away
through the drain hose which is loc-
ated at the back of the dryer.
Laying the drain hose
Do not pull on the drain hose, do
not stretch it or allow it to become
kinked.
This could damage it.
Use the bow-shaped guide to prevent
the drain hose from becoming kinked.
Drain hose length: 1.4 m
Delivery head: 1 m
Hose extension supplied (including
connection): 1.95 m
In certain situations this tumble dryer
must be fitted with a non-return valve
(optional accessory). See "Drain
hose connection".
Without a non-return valve, water
could flow back into the tumble dryer
or be drawn back in and leak out,
causing damage.
Drain hose connection
Direct into a sink or basin
– Hook the hose over the edge and se-
cure.
– Use a non-return valve if the end of
the hose could possibly become sub-
merged in water.
Connected securely to a floor gully
– Always use a non-return valve.
Connected directly to a sink drain outlet
– Always use a non-return valve.
If the tumble dryer is connected to a
drainage system already in use by an-
other appliance, e.g. a dishwasher or
washing machine.
– Always use a non-return valve.
