Problem

Possible cause and remedy

A control knob is
flashing.

The gas cooktop is equipped with an ignition safety
device. The gas flame has gone out and a
subsequent attempt at re-ignition was unsuccessful
(see “Operation - Ignition safety device”).

Turn the control knobs to 

 (Off).

The electronic ignition for the gas cooktop carries out
a self-test as soon as the first burner is switched on
or the last burner is switched off. The self-test was
interrupted (see “Operation - Electronic ignition self-
test ”).

Turn the control knobs to 

 (Off).

The Teppan Yaki plate
does not get hot.

The cooktop is equipped with an ignition safety
device. The gas flame has gone out and a
subsequent attempt at re-ignition was unsuccessful
(see “Operation - Ignition safety device”).
The illuminated ring of the control knob does not flash
if re-ignition is unsuccessful.

Turn the control knobs to 

 (Off).

The electronic ignition for the gas cooktop carries out
a self-test as soon as the first burner is switched on
or the last burner is switched off. The self-test was
interrupted (see “Operation - Electronic ignition self-
test ”).
The illuminated ring of the control knob does not flash
if the self-test was interrupted.
