Activating/deactivating the keypad tones

Setting the Time Out Timer:
The time out timer (TOT) automatically switches the radio in reception if you talk
for too long, after a pre-set time that can change from 1 minute up to 30 min.
Before stopping the transmission, CT2000 emits an acoustic alarm to warn you.
We suggest you keeping this function enabled.
Note:
TOT can be adjusted also from the radio menu.
Access the radio menu and follow this procedure:

• Set the desired time and confirm with
MENU
or
PTT
controls.
• Press
FUN
to exit the menu and return in stand-by mode.
Activating/deactivating the keypad lock:

to enable or disable the keypad lock.

on the front panel of the radio.
Display backlight
The display backlight can be adjusted in 3 different levels:

ON
: backlight always on;
•
5S
: backlight turns off after 5 seconds;
•
10S
: backlight turns off after 10 seconds.

wait for 5 seconds.

Auto power-off
You can set the automatic turning off for CT2000.
• Enter the radio menu and follow this procedure:

• Set the desired level:
30/60/120
minutes and confirm by pushing

to exit the menu and return in stand-by mode.
