2 PSI systems use the same components, except the meter size may be an AL-630 for double stack applications, unless otherwise approved by
Middleby engineering.
GAS SUPPLY
The following gas system specifications are
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Deviating from these
recommendations may affect the baking performance
of the oven.
Gas Meter
• One or two cavities: 750 cfh meter
•
Three oven cavities: 1200 cfh meter
Gas Line
DEDICATED LINE from the gas meter to the oven
• 2" (50.8mm) pipe for natural gas
•
2" (50.8mm) pipe for propane
•
Maximum length: 200' (61m). Each 90° elbow
equals 7' (2.13m) of pipe.
Check the oven’s gas supply requirements before
making the gas utility connection. Gas supply
requirement are listed on the oven’s serial plate and in
X70G/X55G Series Specifications in Section 1.
Check the serial plate to determine the type of gas
(Propane or Natural) to be used with the oven. See
Gas Conversion under Gas Connection for converting
oven to propane.
NOTICE
Where national or local codes require the installation
of fire suppression equipment or other supplementary
equipment, DO NOT mount the equipment directly to
the oven.
Mounting such equipment may:
• Void agency certifications
• Restrict service access
•
Lead to increased service expenses for the owner
