Chapter 6: Operation
This chapter gives details on the operation of the DL471 DSP.
Start-up sequence
After switching on the unit (see “Switching the unit on/off”
on page 7), it runs through a start-up sequence as shown on
the LCD screen (right), which ends with the default display.
The “waiting for client” message scrolls across the second
line of the display and the four navigation buttons flash. If
this message doesn’t clear it means that the unit has not
received data from the master controller.
Default display
After the unit has runs its start-up sequence after switch on, the default displays will
appear on the LCD screen.
Unit model followed by its ID
number.
Number of the role being handled by the
DL471 DSP unit (see “DSP unit role
allocation” on page 18)
