INSTALLATION
NOTE: Carton contains WM 500, mounting hardware, owners manual.
Mounting hardware package taped to back of unit.
1. Remove unit from shipping carton. Inspect for any freight damage and
report to the freight company.
2. Remove the filter access cover from the unit and take out filters prior to
installation. The filter access cover is easily removed by first lifting at the
bottom of the unit and removing from the air cleaner. Next, loosen the
thumb screw that holds the filter-retainer bar in place, slide the bar back,
and remove the filter.
3. After location has been decided, install the WM 500 wall bracket by
mounting to wall with a minimum of three each #10 x 1 1/4” screws
(included in hardware package). Install one screw on the right end, then
use the 1/4” slot on left end to level bracket before installing remainder of
screws.
CAUTION: WHEN MOUNTING WALL BRACKET TO WALLBOARD,
BE CERTAIN THAT SCREWS ARE SECURED TO WALLBOARD VIA
WALL JOISTS OR BY MEANS OF A THREADED INSERT.
WALLBOARD MATERIAL IS NOT INTENDED TO SOLELY HOLD
WEIGHT OF THE AIR CLEANER.
NOTE:
Cord is 8 ft. long; unit must be installed within reach of an electrical
outlet.
4. Once the wall bracket and unit bracket are in place, lift the WM 500 and
mount to wall bracket.(Fig. 1)
FIG. 1
5. Enclosed are two self adhesive rubber stops. Attach these two stops to
the lower back area of unit to level against the wall after the unit is hung(See
Fig. 1)
6. The WM 500 is factory assembled to be mounted to wall so that air
enters into the right of the cabinet and exhausts out the left/front side(See
Fig. 2). Additional holes on the back wall of unit are predrilled to allow
relocation of unit’s bracket. (Note: Be sure to plug up unused holes with
additional screws provided if bracket is relocated.)
Additionally, the bracket can be moved to other locations on the back
wall by drilling extra 1/8” dia. holes as described on the instruction label
adhered to the back side of the unit.

vertical position.

wrap from charcoal filter before operation. Make sure air flow arrows
are in the correct position.
8. Replace the access cover by first placing the bottom edge in the
channel, sliding the door up slightly so that it engages at the top, and
then sliding the cover back down into place.
