Troubleshooting
Q. Why can't I enable the Farnsworth mode?
A. The overall speed is at its maximum of 99 WPM.
Q. Why adjusting the Speed control does not seem to change the code speed?
A. The Farnsworth mode is enabled with speed greater than the maximum speed of the Speed control.
Q. When keying with the paddle, the Speed control is not working?
A. Disable the Farnsworth mode.
Q. Why do I get extra linefeeds when uploading to the computer?
A. Configure your terminal program to strip the linefeeds from the carriage returns.
Q. The keyer is acting erratic?
A. Reset the keyer to factory defaults setting by pressing both Menu and F2 buttons while turning the
power on.
Q. How come I cannot increase the character spacing?
A. The word spacing must be at least four units more than the character spacing.
Q. The keyer keys continuously when I turn on the power?
A. Make sure the Manual Key jumper JMP3 is set to the correct logic.
