OPERATION

Espresso Preparation

Place the appliance on a flat level heat-resistant surface, away from other appliances and any heat source.

Fill the water tank with clean cold water to the maximum level. Warning! Never use without water in the
water tank. This may destroy the appliance and void any warranty claim.

Measure coffee and place into filter.

Note.

For single espresso shot use one spoonful, for double espresso

shot use two spoonfuls.

Insert the filter basket into the filter holder and attach to the appliance. Turn 45º anticlockwise (from left to
right) to lock securely into position. Do not use excessive force.

Place ceramic cup/cups under the filter basket.

Connect to a suitable 220-240V ~ 50Hz power supply outlet and switch on.

Switch ON/OFF (K-L) switch to the ON (I) position.

Warning!

Ensure that the other two switches are in

the OFF (O) positions. The power indicator and steam switch indicator lamps will glow red indicating that
heating is taking place. A preheating time of 8-10 minutes is recommended for the first cup. When the
indicator lamp in the steam switch (O-P) goes out, the water has reached the correct temperature.

The indicator lamp for the steam switch (O-P) will cycle on and off as the temperature is maintained at the
correct level by the internal heating system.

Press the central switch (M-N) to the ON (I) position to activate the pump action.

After a short period coffee will flow into the cup(s). To stop simply switch central switch to the OFF (O)
position.

Warning! Do not attempt to remove the filter basket with the power switch ON.

After you have finished, switch power to the appliance off, allow to cool, remove the filter basket and clean
it ready for the next use. Remove any unused water if not using in the near future.

Cappuccino Preparation

Combine espresso coffee with milk and frothed milk to taste.

Ensure Steam Valve (G) is closed.

After preparation of the espresso as above fill a tall container to about half full with fresh cold (refrigerator
temperature) milk.

Switch steam switch (O-P) to the ON (I) position.

When the steam indicator lamp goes out the appliance is ready for steam process.

Place container under the steam nozzle (H) with the tip just below the surface of the milk.

Open the steam valve (G) anti-clockwise to release steam.

Note

. A small amount of liquid may be expelled

at first. This is normal.

Move the container in a circular motion at the same time.

When frothing is complete remove the container and pour into the espresso coffee.

Switch the appliance off when completed.
