The automatic soft start protects the flash
tube of the studio flash unit. Therefore, the
set flash output will be reached after appro-
ximately 1-2 seconds.
- Switching off the studio flash unit:
Press power switch so that it is in
position (OFF)
- All displays go off
- If the modelling lamp was switched on,
it goes off.
6 Setting the studio flash unit
6.1 Setting the flash output
The brightness of the flash is determined by
the output of the flash tube. The output can
be set on the studio flash unit from 1.0 to 6.0
in intervals of 0.1:
• Press power switch so that it is in positi-
on (ON).
• Press the touchscreen.
• Press the sensor button , until the
desired flash intensity is displayed on
touchscreen
. Press the sensor button
to reduce flash intensity. The studio
flash unit loses flash readiness, adjusts the
power of the flash capacitor in line with the
new, lower value, and then displays flash
readiness again.
• Once the capacitor of the studio flash unit
has enough power for the displayed flash
intensity, button
will light up.
