2 Delivery contents
2.1 Unpacking the studio flash unit
Take the studio flash unit out of the packa-
ging carefully.
Keep all parts of the packaging for subse-
quent transport and/or storage of the studio
flash unit.
2.2 Checking the delivery contents

at the end of the guide.
1 BL200 / BL400 studio flash unit with
modelling lamp and flash tube
1 protective cap
1 reflector SR-18 (not in kit)
1 synchronisation cable 4.5V (4m)
1 power cord (4m)
1 operating instructions in 6 languages
Check whether all parts of the delivery
contents are there and are not damaged.
If the delivery contents are incomplete
and/or damaged, please contact your dealer.
3 Unit components and functions
of studio flash unit BL200/BL400
This chapter gives you an overview of the
parts of the studio flash unit and briefly
explains their main function.

at the end of the guide.

The reflector bundles the flash light in the
flash area that is to be illuminated.
Release lever for releasing the attached
reflector or the attached protective hood.
Air slits facilitate air circulation to cool the
studio flash unit.
Photocell for automatic triggering of a
flash.
Socket for mains connection for connec-
ting the power cord.
Power switch for switching the studio
flash unit on and off.
Opening in the reflector for the rod of the
lamp shade.
Fuse holder for the fuse and a spare fuse.
3.5 mm socket for the synchronisation
cable or radio receiver.
