The display will next provide instructions to insert the span foil.  Insert the span foil 

above the filter 

tape

, as shown in Figure 5-12. Note that this membrane is also keyed and can only be inserted one 

way. Take care to minimize tape movement. When the span foil is detected, the nozzle will 
automatically lower to the foil and the four-minute measurement will commence.

After four minutes the display will change to list the results of the audit. The measured mass will be 
listed on the top, the programmed span value will be in the middle, and the error between the two 
will be listed on the bottom. See Figure 5-13 for an example. If the error is greater than +/- 5%, the 
audit has failed. See section 5.5 for cleaning instructions. If the audit continues to fail, contact the 
Met One Service team (see section 1.2) for assistance.

Press the X button in the upper right corner to exit the audit. The nozzle will be raised and the 
screen will display a message to remove the span foil. Remove the foil and the display will 
automatically return to the Test menu.
