Chapter 11: Electrical Systems

580 Pilothouse • Owner’s Manual

Important generator
notes:

•

Polarity has been estab-
lished in the installation
of the generator. There-
fore the polarity lights
will not function when
using the generator.

•

Fuel to run the generator
is supplied from the port
fuel tank.

•

Periodically replace the
filter on the generator to
make sure it remains
clean and free of debris.

•

The generator also has a
fuel filter/water separa-
tor. Service instructions
are provided on the fuel
filter/water separator.

•

The coolant mixture
installed at the factory
consists of equal parts of
water and antifreeze
(Ethylene Glycol).

•

Check the generator’s
seawater strainer for
leaks and/or debris
before each use.
