DESCRIPTION
The Whisper On-Arrival system is composed of both hardware and
software components. The Whisper Veterinary device works in
conjunction with a wireless-based application that is installed and
run on a chute-side computer (tablet). Individual animal body weight
and rectal temperature are entered by the operator in the tablet and
the thoracic (i.e. chest) sound data is captured by the device and
transmitted to the tablet. A machine-learning algorithm utilizes the
information to predict the risk of BRD and provide the user with a BRD
control decision (i.e. Treat or Do Not Treat).
