Displays and operation
Coolant temperature display
The coolant temperature can only be called
up on the on-board computer.

Press = or ; on the steering wheel
to select the Serv. menu.
X
Press 9 or : to select Coolant .
Electric motor performance display
The power display for the electric motor is
located on the right-hand side of the
instrument cluster. This display shows you
how much power from the electric motor is
currently being used, as a percentage of the
maximum available electric power.
Top area
: shows how much power is
coming from the electric motor, for example
during electric drive or boost mode. During
electric drive, the engine starts up when the
display reaches the "MAX" mark at the top.
This allows you to control how much the
electric drive is used at low speeds.
Lower area
; shows how much power has
been recovered and stored as electrical
energy in the high-voltage battery. When the
indicator reaches the mark at the bottom, this
means that the recuperative braking power
has been fully utilized. The mechanical brake
is activated.

You can display the current operating mode
of the hybrid system in the multifunction
display and the COMAND display.
In the COMAND display, you can also call up
a graphic display of the fuel consumption and
generated electricity (

page 33).

Press the = or ; button on the
steering wheel to select the Trip menu.

Press 9 or : to select Energy

To call up the full screen display: press
the W button.

In the system menu, slide ZV the
COMAND controller up until the Full
Screen option is selected.
X
Press W the COMAND controller.
The system display is shown as full screen
(without system menu).

Slide XVY the COMAND controller
repeatedly until the desired indicator
appears.
X
To exit the full-screen display: press W
the COMAND controller.
The system menu appears.
