Product maintenance
The outer lining fabric is waterproof and removable for
washing purposes: the ideal washing conditions are
shown on the inside label.
Open the zip of the pad cover, pull out the device from
the pad and save it in a dry and clean place.
Battery life-span is estimated at approximately 2 years.
If the buzzer sounds 4 times in a row while placing the
child in the seat, or while connecting the pad with the
phone, it means that the battery needs to be replaced.
To replace the battery: open the zip of the smart PADDY
pad and pull out the inside device. Open the exposed
black box and replace the battery. Reinsert the device
into the pad and close the zip.
Warranty
PADDY Smart Pad enjoys a Limited Life Warranty against
any defects of non-compliance under normal operating
conditions of use. Please refer to the Warranty notice
enclosed to this Owner’s Manual. Note: the battery is not
included in the warranty as it is a consumable item and
must be replaced as needed.
General warnings
Do not disperse any packaging material (plastic bags,
cardboard boxes, etc.) potentially dangerous for the
child. Before using the device, ensure it is not damaged:
if it is, contact the dealer and do not use the device. To
avoid any risks of overheating, keep the pad away from
all external heat sources.

Product disposal
The crossed-out waste bin symbol shown on the device
indicates that, at the end of its life, the product must be
disposed of separately from other waste.
Therefore, when disposing of the device, the user
must bring it, along with all its essential components,
to a specific collection center for electronic and
electrotechnical waste, or return it to the retailer when
purchasing new equivalent equipment. The separate
disposal, in order for the product to be properly recycled,
treated and disposed of, contributes to avoiding possible
negative effects on the environment and health, while
promoting the recycling of the materials the device is
made with. The abusive disposal of the product by the
user entails the application of administrative sanctions
according to local laws and regulations of each country.
The product works with batteries which, among other
things, are contemplated in the European Directive
2013/56/EU and that cannot be disposed of with normal
domestic waste. Find out about local regulations
regarding the separate collection of batteries: correct
disposal allows you to avoid negative consequences for
the environment and health.
ATTENTION: This PADDY Smart Pad has been tested by
the competent European authority to prove that it does
not interfere with the approval of car child seats. Use only
with local norms approved car child seats. If the pad is
damaged, do not use it and have it immediately replaced
or repaired through the manufacturer or an authorized
service center. Before each use, check that the device
battery is charged.
WARNING: PADDY uses a lithium battery. In order to
avoid serious damage do not replace it with a different
type of battery. Make sure that the child seat is properly
anchored to the car before installing PADDY on the seat.
WARNING: if the seat or PADDY are not correctly installed,
they could cause damage to the user. Always follow
the Owner’s Manual and consult it whenever you need
to remove / reposition the device. PADDY is a universal
smart pad for any brand and model of car baby seat,
nevertheless, before installing PADDY , always check if
the device is fully compatible with the car seat, otherwise
it must not be used. Do not add other accessories not
approved by the competent authority. Lining can be
removed for washing purposes; however, do not replace
it with a lining not approved by the manufacturer.
Do not wash before removing the electronic module
inside the pad. Keep the device and the battery away
from all external heat sources.
