CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BABY HAMMOCK!
Read the instructions carefully to ensure proper use. It is important that the baby hammock is
installed correctly.
The baby hammock should be used as a hammock for babies weighing up to 15 kg. Note,
however, that the baby hammock cannot be used by babies who are able to roll, sit or pull
themselves up.
It is a safe place for babies to sleep, as it mimics their time inside their mothers womb. The
accompanying spring allows the baby hammock to bounce up and down. The movement has
a soothing effect on many babies, who are often lulled to sleep by this movement. It has a
positive effect on most unhappy babies who are bothered by e.g. colic or reflux, or babies with
general problems with sleeping.
USE
When the baby hammock is installed, you should always check that it is working properly
before placing your baby in the baby hammock. If everything works as intended, the baby
hammock is ready to use and you can place your baby in it.
Place your baby on their back in the middle of the hammock and always make sure that their
head is not lower than their feet. Make sure that your babys head is not pressed too closely
against their chest. It is important that their airways are not obstructed. If necessary, place a
folded towel under the mattress from the shoulder area and down, so your babys head is tilted
slightly backwards. The baby lies in the hammock in a slightly C-shaped position that supports
their natural development. Do not place a quilt or similar under the baby, as it may become too
hot and also block their airways.
When the canopy is in use make sure your baby is still getting fresh air.
When your baby is lying in the hammock properly, you can bounce it as needed by pressing
down on the cross-pin.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The baby hammock is made from 100 % organic cotton and can be hand washed at max. 30 °C.
However, avoid washing the hammock too often in order to reduce unwanted wear.
Remove the mattress and detach the shackle, carabiner and the wooden pin before washing.
The mattress filling is made of wool and can only be hand-washed gently using a mild wool soap
in warm water at max. 30 °C. Squeeze out excess water by rolling the mattress in a towel. Lay
it horizontally to dry. Remember to turn the mattress during drying. Insted of a handwash we
reconment you place mattress in the freezer for 1 hour. Feel free to air the mattress every 14 days.
