To allow you to enjoy your original Melitta

accessory
for a long time to come, please read the following tips
and instructions.
1 intended use
The product is designed for private home use. Its
purpose is to keep the milk in the supplied stainless
steel container cool. The manufacturer bears no liability
for damage that is attributed to non-intended use.
2 General safety instructions
Please carefully read the following instructions all
the way through.
Warning!

Do not put the milk container and its parts
in the dishwasher and never in a microwave
appliance!

The appliance is not designed to be used by
persons (including children) with restricted
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or
with a lack of experience and / or knowledge
unless they are supervised by a person
who is responsible for their safety and have
received instructions from this supervising
person in how the appliance should be used.
3 starting up
3.1
scope of delivery
• Stainless steel milk container, plastic lid (chromed)
• "Getting started" document
• Connecting parts: tube and intake tube
3.2
Placement and connection
• Place the stainless steel container on a level and
clean surface directly beside your Melitta
®
fully
automatic coffee maker.
• Place the milk container such that it is protected
from overheating (e.g. not directly beside the
stove).
• Before using the new product for the first time, it
should be thoroughly cleaned both on the inside
and outside with a damp cloth for reasons of
hygiene.
• Fill the stainless steel container with milk and close
it with the lid after having connected the intake tube
on the underside of the lid (simply plug it in).
• Connect the milk suction tube on the nozzle of
your Melitta
®
fully automatic coffee maker to the
stainless steel container by inserting the suction
tube in the opening of the thermal lid.
4 Cleaning and maintenance
Do not use any harsh, abrasive cleaning agents or hard
objects for cleaning. This can cause damage to the
product. Clean the product on the inside and outside
only with a damp cloth or under flowing water.
• For intensive cleaning, we recommend using the
"Intensive Cleaning" program of your Melitta
®
fully
automatic coffee maker once a week.
• Only use the milk system cleaning agent from
Melitta
®
for fully automatic coffee makers.
