8.3 Removal from the
pipe system
The flow monitor must first be removed
from the pipe system before per-
forming maintenance work.
WARNING!
Risk of injury from pressur-
ized lines!
Severe injury may result if the
pipe system is under pressure
when removing the device.

Depressurize the system
before removing the device
WARNING!
Risk of injury from hot or
cold surfaces!
Pipelines can heat up/cool
down dramatically due to the
media flowing through them.
Skin contact with hot or cold
surfaces causes severe skin
burn or frostbite.

Before removing the
device, ensure that the
machine or system and the
flow monitor have been
controlled to a temperature
range between 0
°
C and 40
°
C
–
Do not touch any part of
the machine or system that
is either very cold or very
hot
–
Always wear heat-resistant/
cold-resistant protective
work clothing and protec-
tive gloves when working
near hot/cold surfaces
