Things to look for…
•
Remove bills from the drum until you see a “space” between the bills.
Normally, this is between two and five bills.
Also, do a visual inspection for any dirt and
debris that may have caused the jam.
VN2700R Installation DO’s…
•
Make sure power to the vending machine is OFF.
•
Make sure bezel mounts flush. Use set-back spacer if necessary.
•
Make sure all DIP switches are in the OFF position if using the Configuration Coupon to
configure the VN2700R.
•
Make sure cabling does not interfere with the mechanical operation of the VN2700R.
Use cable ties when possible.
•
Make sure there is adequate clearance around the VN2700R when all doors are
closed.
•
Make sure the VN2700R recycler cable with the yellow flag marked COINMECH ONLY
is attached to the coin changer only. NO OTHER ITEMS CAN BE CONNECTED
BETWEEN THE VN2700R AND THE COIN MECHANISM.
•
Make sure to attach the
green
, ground wire, (if provided), to a mounting stud and
secure with the appropriately-sized nut.
•
Check MEI Recycler Compatibility Chart on the web site. If the software on the VMC
is not up to date, update to the latest version that is listed on
the compatibility chart. Visit www.meitechnical.com. Select
Documentation, then VN2700R. You can also scan this barcode
into your phone and you'll be directed right to MEI's website:
•
Hand-tighten only the installation nuts.
•
Only use a 500-bill cassette or smaller with the VN2700R unless there is adequate
space for larger cassettes.
•
If cables are routed under the recycler module, make sure there is adequate slack in
the cable to avoid stress to the 30-pin connector.
•
The Recycler may not touch any cable and must be mounted within 0
°
of plumb. Nuts
may be added to the mounting screws to create a gap behind the Recycler to keep it
vertical.
Mounting and Clearance
•
After mounting the recycler, slide your hand underneath to make
sure there are no items making contact with the recycler - such as
the lower mounting studs, coin chutes or coin return hardware.
•
Only use Set Back Spacer if needed. It could cause interference
with the cold door. Set Back Spacer must be
used with the four extender nuts provided with
the Recycler if mounting studs on the machine
are not long enough.
Bezel Requirements
•
Approved bezel types: (VFM, HVB, Compact, 3-in-1, 4-in-1 and Combo bezels only). If
the metal bezel is used, it needs to be grounded to the VNR by scraping off some of
the paint on the bezel to ensure a positive ground to the bezel.
•
High Visibility Bezels (Compact and VFM styles) – Require software version 1.17 or
greater. If the first three serial numbers on the bill validator are 489xxxxxxxx or
higher, software version is OK. If not, use BPM-Lite to update your validator.
•
Bezel must be mounted flush against the machine door. It must be mounted absolutely
vertical with no tilt and 0
°
of plumb.
