Intended use
The appliance is designed to trim the edges of lawns and areas of lawn in private gardens.
Garden tools such as this are not suited for use in public places, parks and sports facilities, within the
agriculture or the forestry sector. The machine must only be used as it is intended to be used and in
accordance with these instructions.
The machine must only be used for the purpose for which it is intended. All other applications are
considered to be unsuitable. The manufacturer is not liable for any personal injury or damage to
equipment resulting from incorrect use. The full responsibility for any such personal injury or material
damage rests on the user.
NOTE:
The appliance is not intended for professional or industrial use. Professional or industrial use
invalidates the warranty.
Charging the battery
1.
Connect the battery charger (fig. 1).
2.
Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate. Plug the
charger into an appropriate mains socket. The red status lamp (pos. 1, fig. 1) comes on to
indicate that the charger is connected to power.
3.
The battery is charging. The battery is discharged the charging time is 3–5 hours. The battery
and charger get hot when charging. This is completely normal.
4.
The red status lamp (pos. 1, fig. 1) goes out when battery is fully charged.
NOTE:
• If the battery is not charged, check that the mains outlet is supplied with voltage.
• Charge the battery immediately when the appliance becomes weaker.
• Do not allow the battery to become completely discharged. Over-discharging will shorten the
battery’s useful life.
