Electrical safety
WARNING:
Risk of electric shock.
Touching live wires or components can cause fatal injuries. Follow the safety
instructions below.
• A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre, or
qualified person, to ensure safe use.
• Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
• This appliance may only be connected to a correctly earthed power outlet to
prevent the risk of electric shock.
• If using the tool outdoors, only use an earthed extension cord approved for
outdoor use. Extension cords must have a minimum conductor cross section
area of 1.0 mm².
• The appliance must be connected to the mains supply with a residual current
device with a maximum tripping current of 30 mA. Consult an authorised
electrician if in doubt.
• Always unplug the power cord in the following cases:
– if there is a fault on the appliance
– before cleaning
– after use.
Risk of electric shock
• There is an increased risk of electric shock if water enters a power tool.
• Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or splash or rinse the appliance with
water when cleaning.
• Do not expose the appliance to rain or moisture.
• Unplug the power cord immediately if the appliance is dropped in water or any
other liquid. Do not attempt to pick up an appliance that has been dropped in
water or liquid until the cord has been unplugged.
Risk of burn injury
• Parts of the appliance can in use become very hot - risk of personal injury (burn
injury) when touched or with misuse. Follow the safety instructions below.
• Never point the hot air jet towards animals or people.
• Do not touch the appliance’s heating element, nozzle, and heat shield until the
appliance has cooled completely.
