serious bodily injury or death.

• Familiarise yourself with the saw’s controls so that you are able to operate
it safely.
• Always observe all local safety regulations when operating your chainsaw.
• Incorrect handling can lead to serious personal injury.
• Even with correct usage the saw constitutes some risk. The nature of the saw
means that the following risks should be taken into account:
– Contact with the unprotected sawing chain (cuts).
– Unexpected, sudden movement of the guide bar (cuts).
– Hearing damage, if no ear defenders are used.
– Breathing in harmful particles or exhaust gases from the engine.
– Skin contact with petrol.
NOISE
WARNING
Risk of hearing damage. Wear ear protection. Under normal operating
conditions, this device can expose the operator to a noise level of 80 dB (A) or more.
• Some noise from the machine is unavoidable.
• Noisy work should be limited to certain periods.
• Take frequent breaks, and it might be necessary to restrict working hours to a
minimum.
• The user should wear ear defenders, and others in the vicinity might need to
do the same.
