NOTE:
The appliance can be moved both horizontally and vertically when scanning for metal objects, eg
reinforcing bars The appliance is more sensitive to metal objects running parallel to the sensor
CABLE SCANNING (AC VOLTAGE)
• The multi detector can detect live AC cables The position from which the scanning starts is important
The best sensitivity is obtained if the scanning starts from a position some distance from the AC cable
• Set the mode selector button on the appliance to cable scanning The scanning procedure is then the
same as for stud scanning
NOTE:
The appliance can be moved both horizontally and vertically when scanning for a cable The
appliance is more sensitive to live cables running parallel to the sensor
A flash symbol is shown and and the appliance emits a beep with a decreasing frequency when an
unshielded AC cable is detected
IMPORTANT:
• It is not always possible to detect electric cables more than 4 cm below the surface Always switch off
the power when working near electric cables
• Static charges can interfere with the detection and displace the indicated point to the side by up to 30
cm from the actual position of the cable
