Blade guide
Adjust the blade guide using the adjustment ring
(B) after releasing the lock button (A).
The upper blade guide can be set for workpiece
heights of 0 mm to 180 mm. Set at the lowest
possible height for optimum stability and safety.
Back pressure bearings
The back pressure bearings (1) support the rear of
the workpiece. Set the back pressure bearings so
that they are lightly touching the back of the saw
blade.
Upper guide rollers
Set the upper guide rollers (2) to the width of the
saw blade. Make sure the front edge of the guide
rollers is behind the gullet of the blade's teeth. Lock
the guide rollers using the finger screws when the
rollers are just touching the blade.
Lower guiding pins
Adjust the lower guiding pins (3) to the width of the
saw blade. Make sure the front edge of the pins is
behind the gullet of the blade's teeth. Tighten the
set screws when the guiding pins are just touching
the blade. Make sure the blade does not jam.
Use
The following illustrations show how to use the tool safely. The illustrations offer guidance only. Pay
attention to what you are doing at all times and use your common sense.
Always use dust extraction when working in enclosed areas. If used for commercial purposes, a
dust extractor approved for commercial use must be used.
Always slacken the saw blade tension after completing your work. Attach a notice to the tool
informing others that the blade is not tensioned.
Store in a dry location. Check the blade for cracks, damaged teeth and other defects before use.
Never use the blade if it is damaged or faulty.
Wear safety gloves when handling blades.
Do not use the tool unless all the safety devices and guards are correctly installed and working.
Never attempt to clean the saw blade with a hand-held tool while the band saw is running and the
blade is moving. Resin and other substances on the blade will adversely affect its performance.
Clean the blade regularly.
Wear eye and ear protection. Wear a hair net if you have long hair. Long sleeves should be rolled
up above the elbow.
