Cutting flush with adjacent surface
With a suitable saw blade it is possible to saw
off extruding objects (water pipes etc.) flush
with adjacent surfaces.
NOTE:
The saw blade sticks out behind the
workpiece – risk of kickback.
Place the saw blade with the side against the
adjacent surface and press sideways so that
the edge of the shoe rests against the adjacent
surface. Start the saw and cut by maintaining
the pressure sideways.

MAINTENANCE
• Keep tools sharp and clean for better and
safer work.
• If a fault or malfunction occurs, have the
power tool checked by an authorised
service centre.
• Never open the power tool.
CLEANING
• Clean the ventilation openings on the
power tool at regular intervals.
• Clean the power tool with a damp cloth.
Wipe dry afterwards.
NOTE:
Many detergents contain chemicals that can
corrode the plastic parts on the power tool.
Never use petrol, turps, thinner or other
similar products.
STORAGE
• When the power tool is not in use store it
in a dry and safe place with a temperature
of no more than 40°C and out of reach of
unauthorised persons.
The reciprocating saw has a quick release
(3) for saw blades. Release the saw blade by
turning the knob anticlockwise and pulling out
the blade. Fit the blade by turning the knob a
quarter of a turn anticlockwise, inserting the
blade and then releasing the knob. Pull on the
saw blade to check that it is secure.
FIG. 3
SELECTOR FOR OSCILLATION
SETTING
Oscillation means that the saw blade moves
in an elliptical orbit seen from the side, which
ensures faster sawing. Oscillation can be used
for demolition work, but is not recommended
for work that needs precision.
FIG. 4
LOCK BUTTON FOR ADJUSTABLE
PLATE (SHOE)
The shoe (2) can be moved to adjust how
far the blade sticks out. This function can be
used for sawing thin surface layers, such as
plasterboard, without the blade protruding
very far into the wall behind the board.
To move the shoe, press the lock button (11)
and pull or push the shoe to the required
position. Allow the button to return and try
to move the shoe to check that has locked
properly.
FIG. 5
SAWING
1. Apply the shoe on the reciprocating saw
against the workpiece.
2. Switch on the reciprocating saw and hold
it against the workpiece.
NOTE:
Do not hold the workpiece with your hand.
