Inspection of wheels
Prior to mounting, all wheels shall be inspected for damage and cracks. Wheels which
show any evidence of cracks, abusive handling or abusive storage should never be
mounted. Cracks in abrasive wheels are frequently not visible to the naked eye.

Attaching and replacing
1. Ensure the wheel stands still and press
the spindle lock button

and turn the
spindle

until it locks in place.
2. Keep the spindle lock button

pressed and loosen the locking flange

anticlockwise with the spanner

3. Remove the locking flange

, wheel
(if already attached) and the backing
flange

from the spindle

4. Check the flanges (6, 7) for damages and
wear. Replace them if necessary.
5. Clean the flanges (6, 7) and spindle

from dust.
6. Fit the backing flange

onto the
spindle

and ensure it is correctly
located. The two machined flat sections
must face the product and locate in the
appropriate position on the spindle

7. Place the wheel onto the spindle

with
the label facing the product. The hole in the
wheel should locate onto the spindle
(9)
and fit firmly into the protruding section of the
backing flange

8. Place the locking flange

on the spindle

with protruding side facing the wheel.
9. Press the spindle lock button

and tighten the locking flange

clockwise with the
spanner

.
WARNING! Ensure the wheel is properly fastened but do not use force
to tighten the flange! High pressure will cause damages like cracks to
the wheel!
10. Turn the wheel by hand to test if it is rotating smoothly. The wheel should not flutter.
11. Switch the product on and let it run idle for at least one minute, to confirm that the
wheel has been installed properly.
