• Wear a dust filter mask if the work produces a lot of dust.
• Do not wear loose-fitting clothes, jewellery, or watches etc. that
can fasten in moving parts. Wear long trousers.
• Never use the power tool from a ladder, tree or other unstable
place.
• Do not overreach. Always maintain a firm footing and good
balance. Always use the shoulder strap for optimum distribution of
the weight.
• Wear sturdy, non-slip shoes.
• Do not expose the power tool to rain or moisture.
• Do not use the power tool closer than 10 metres to power lines.
• Pay attention to the branch being cut and to the ground, to avoid
stumbling over previously cut branches.
• Tiredness makes it difficult to handle the power tool safely. Rest for
30 minutes after working for 60 minutes.
• Always wear gloves when handling the hedge trimmer.
• Do not use the power tool in explosive environments, such as in
the vicinity of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Electrical
appliances produce sparks, which can ignite dust and fumes.
• Do not use the power tool if it cannot be switched on and off with
the power switch. Power tools that cannot be controlled with the
power switch are dangerous and must be repaired.
• Store power tools out of the reach of children when not in use.
Never allow children, or anyone who is unfamiliar with the power
tool and these instructions, to use the tool. Power tools are
dangerous if used by inexperienced people.
• Keep the power tool properly maintained. Check that moving parts
are properly adjusted and do not jam, and that no parts are
incorrectly fitted or damaged. Check for other factors that could
affect functionality. If the power tool is damaged, it must be
repaired before being used again. Many accidents are caused by
