Intended use
This drill is only designed for home use and for reasons of safety it may only be used for drilling and
screw driving. The machine is not designed for industrial use.
Read carefully through all the safety instructions and ensure compliance with current national legislation
and directives.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use
Check before connecting to the mains supply that:
-
The machine is switched off.
-
All tools have been removed from the machine.
-
All parts (discs, drill bits, etc.) are properly tightened.
-
All parts are intact and in full working order. Defective parts must be replaced before the
machine is used.
Check that the mains su
pply corresponds with the machine’s rated data.
Improper electrical installation or the high voltage can cause electric shock.
Do not use the machine if it does not work properly or shows signs of visible damage.
Do not open the machine's casing. Repair work must only be performed by an authorised service
centre.
Only use original parts when carrying out repairs. The machine contains electrical and mechanical
parts that are absolutely necessary to protect against safety risks.
Never dip the plug or drill in water. Never touch the plug with wet hands. Immediately unplug the
machine from the mains supply outlet if it becomes damp or wet.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and
refrigerators when drilling or screwdriving. Do not hold the machine's metal parts during use. Hold
the machine by its insulated handles.
Do not expose to rain or moisture.
Harmful materials can be released during drilling. The dust produced when drilling materials
containing asbestos or stone with crystalline silica is a health hazard. Follow applicable safety
regulations.
Wear eye protection and/or a breathing mask during work that generates dust or chips.
Clamp small workpieces in e.g. a vice so that the workpiece, or screws, cannot start to rotate with
the machine.
If an extension cord is used when working outdoors it must be dimensioned and intended for this
purpose. The cross-section of conductors must be as follows: cord length of 1-10 metres: 1.5 mm2,
cord length 10-30 metres: 2.5 mm2. Roll out the entire extension cord from the winder to avoid
overheating.
Keep machines and tools in a dry, locked place out of the reach of children.
Keep children and other unauthorised persons away from the work area.
The drill must not be used by persons lacking the necessary knowledge of operating the machine
or by persons who have not read these Operating Instructions.
Wear proper work clothes. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery that can get caught in the
rotating chuck.
Wear a hair net if you have long hair.
Pay attention to what you are doing and use your common sense when using power tools. Never
use the tool if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
Keep a firm footing and a proper balance at all times. Only use sturdy ladders, not rickety chairs,
etc.
Before drilling, check the material with a suitable instrument to detect any electrical cables, water or
gas pipes.
Never open the drills’ casing. Modifications or manipulation of the machine poses a safety hazard
and also voids the warranty.
Maintain the drill according to the instructions. Make sure that the machine’s moving parts are
intact and rotate freely and do not jam. Damaged parts must be replaced before the machine is
used.
