Remove the batteries from the device if you do not
intend to use it for a long period of time.
Replace all the old batteries in an appliance with new
batteries of the same type.
Cover the contacts of the batteries with sticky tape if
you want to store or dispose of them.

If the device does not work correctly because of
electrostatic charge, reset it by disconnecting it from the
mains for a short time.
Cleaning the unit
Before cleaning the device, always disconnect it from
the mains supply.
Only use a dry, soft cloth to clean the device. Do not use
chemical solutions or cleaning products because these
may damage the unit’s surface and/or inscriptions.
