FOLDER NAME
The folder in the CF card conforms with the DCF (Design rule for Camera File system) format.
When taking a picture with this camera, the "Dcim" folder is made in the directory of the CF card and
the "100 MDN 41" folder is made in the "Dcim" folder. The first captured image is recorded with the file
name of "SIMG001.jpg" in the "100 MDN 41" f ol der. The name of the folder in which the captured images
are recorded is displayed on the playback mode menu.
The file name of the image to be recorded con-
sists of "SIMG", "4-digit number" and ".jpg". The
files are recorded in the "100 MDN 41" folder until
the 4-digit number becomes 9999 (the file name
of "SIMG9999.jpg"). When the 10 , 000th file is
recorded, the "101 MDN 41" folder is newly made in
the "Dcim" folder and the 10 , 000th file is recorded
with the file name of "SIMG0001.jpg"in the
"101 MDN 41"folder.
There will be two folders for the images in one CF card , if you capture more than 10 , 000 images. You
can select the folder in which the image to be played back is recorded by the folder name displayed in
the playback mode menu.
