2.2 How To Install The Router – For DSL 
Modem Users Only   

(and other users who require changing the default IP Address 

of the Medialink Router) 

Some DSL Modems require the PPPoE connection to be 

handled by the router instead of the modem to be able to 

successfully create a network using some routers. To begin 

installation and to determine if your modem requires 

additional configuration as mentioned above proceed to the 

instructions below.   

Please follow these instructions BEFORE using your new 

Medialink router with your DSL Modem. 

1.

Connect A Computer To The Medialink Router

 – 

Using a network cable, plug one end into the 

computer’s network port.  Plug the other end into 

one of your router’s yellow ports.     

2.

Power On The Medialink Router

 - Connect the 

included AC/DC adapter to the router’s power port.  

Connect the other end into an electrical outlet.    Wait 

30 seconds to allow the router to fully start.
