You should also wash your hands prior to removal. Thoroughly lubricate your
vaginal area with Ladysoft Lubricant. Use the attached string to pull the cube
downwards until you feel a slight resistance from the pelvic floor muscles. It is
best to crouch down and pull the string into different directions. Now use your
index or middle finger (do not use any other assistive equipment) to detach the
cube’s edges from the vaginal wall and remove the Tandem Cube Pessary from
your vagina by pulling the string. Do not use any other equipment for removing
the Tandem Cube Pessary.
Check the strength of the withdrawal string before each use of the pessary.
You can use your fingers to remove the pessary, in the exceptional case of a
torn string. If you are not able to remove the pessary, let your physician remove
it within the next few days.

Removing the cube:
Always use your fingers to detach the cube’s edges
from the vaginal wall, allowing for air to enter.
Otherwise you risk tearing of the retrieval string.
